This posting is to establish an eligibility list for future permanent and/or temporary vacancies within the Province of British Columbia.

These positions may be located in any of the following five (4) regional locations of: Vancouver Island (Victoria); Interior (Kelowna or Kamloops);Vancouver (Vancouver); Fraser (Burnaby or New Westminster); Currently there is 1 permanent position available for the position of Director Stakeholder Engagement.

The Primary Care Division in the Ministry of Health is responsible for setting provincial direction to support a high functioning primary health-care system that meets the needs of all British Columbians. This includes leading reforms that support primary care as the foundation of a full-service, community-based, integrated system of person and family-centred care.

The Director, Stakeholder Engagement designs and manages diverse external communications and engagement strategies for the public and a broad range of partners, including health-care providers, professional associations, unions, First Nations communities, patients and other interested and affected parties. Applying communications expertise, the Director provides strategic advice and direction to support the division and ministry in achieving communications and engagement objectives that support inclusive and responsive primary health-care services.

Salary$96,400.00 - $128,100.03 Annually
Education Requirements- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field such as journalism, public relations, writing, English, marketing, or a communications-related discipline AND five years or more of related work experience in progressively more responsible communications positions. An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training may be considered.
ExperienceExperience in external communications management positions.
Experience in developing and delivering change management strategies.
Experience planning, developing, and implementing external communications and marketing strategies.
Experience in professional writing/communications materials and product development.
Experience in the development and implementation of public and partner engagement.
Experience building and maintaining partnerships with a diverse range of senior leaders and internal and external partners.
Experience in providing written and oral advice to senior executives (e.g., Minister, Deputy Minister, and Assistant Deputy Minister or equivalent).
Experience leading, influencing, implementing, and sustaining organizational change
Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory/management including resolving complex staff and/or client issues and leading project teams.
