We are looking for a Technician, Logistics Support to support our Aerospace Research Centre. The technician would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity. The purpose of the Technician, Logistics Support is to provide logistics support to the Flight Research Laboratory (FRL) by receiving, inventorying and storing materials to support the FRL's fleet of research aircraft. The Technician, Logistics Support will be required to: - Maintain inventory control and validate equipment identification using various tools available and maintain accurate records as required; - Support Material Planner/Facility manager to determine lead time, price and availability of requested materials; Interact with NRC Customs staff regarding cross-border shipments when necessary for both incoming and outgoing shipments; - Receive, unpack, carry out receiving actions, and enter information for the received material into AMMS; Inventory received stock and check inventory in order to replenish stock of standard parts; - Issues aeronautical products and common use items from the AMMS database; - Protects assets from loss by environmental and control management; - Package and ship non-dangerous goods; - Arrange shipment of dangerous goods. --- Contribuez a la realisation de travaux de recherche strategiques et poursuivez une carriere prometteuse au Conseil national de recherches du Canada (CNRC), la plus grande organisation de recherche et de technologie au Canada. Le technicien ou la technicienne, Soutien logistique, a pour mission de fournir un soutien logistique au Laboratoire de recherche en vol (LRV) en receptionnant, inventoriant et stockant le materiel necessaire a la flotte d'aeronefs de recherche du LRV. Le ou la titulaire devra : - Maintenir le controle de l'inventaire et valider l'identification de l'equipement a l'aide de divers outils disponibles et tenir des registres exacts, le cas echeant; - Aider le planificateur du materiel/le gestionnaire de l'installation a determiner le delai d'execution, le prix et la disponibilite du materiel demande; - Interagir avec le personnel des douanes du CNRC concernant les expeditions transfrontalieres, le cas echeant, pour les expeditions entrantes et sortantes; - Receptionner, deballer, effectuer les operations de reception et saisir les informations relatives au materiel recu dans le systeme AMMS; Inventorier le stock recu et verifier l'inventaire afin de reconstituer le stock de pieces standard; - Emettre des produits aeronautiques et des articles d'usage courant a partir de la base de donnees AMMS; Proteger les biens contre les pertes par une gestion de l'environnement et du controle; - Emballer et expedier des marchandises non dangereuses; - Organiser l'expedition des marchandises dangereuses. | |

| Education Requirements | College diploma or post-secondary school diploma related to the position, or equivalent combination of work experience, trade knowledge and training in inventory management processes. --- Diplome d'etudes collegiales ou post-secondaire en rapport avec le poste, ou combinaison equivalente d'experience professionnelle, de connaissance du metier et de formation aux processus de gestion des stocks. |
| Essential Skills | Ability to confirm received part and materials meet specified requirements; Ability to maintain store room in an organized state and ensure physical inventory and inventory system match; and Ability to ensure shipments are properly packaged to avoid damage in shipping. Assets: - Ability to use specialized Aircraft Maintenance and Inventory software; - Knowledge of operational and financial management within a large organization preferably within a Canadian federal government context; - Knowledge of SAP, Project Systems and its integration with other parts of the business system. --- Capacite a confirmer que les pieces et les materiaux recus repondent aux exigences specifiees; Capacite a maintenir le magasin dans un etat organise et a s'assurer que l'inventaire physique et le systeme d'inventaire correspondent; et Capacite a s'assurer que les livraisons sont adequatement emballees afin d'eviter les dommages lors de leur transport. | Experience | Basic experience in shipping, receiving, inspection, order processing and stocking of inventory material handling. Assets: - Experience in receipt, acceptance and validation of materials and parts, including ensuring the documentation required for the installation of parts onto Canadian registered aircraft is acceptable; - Experience in inventory management utilizing aircraft maintenance and inventory tracking software. --- Experience de base en matiere d'expedition, de reception, d'inspection, de traitement des commandes et de stockage de materiel de manutention.
