| Aava Whistler Hotel, 4005 Whistler Way in Whistler, BC, wishes to hire 2 full-time Light Duty Cleaner for 40 hours per week. The successful applicant should be responsible, reliable, energetic, physically able to perform tasks (e.g., lifting up to 20 lbs), and a team worker with a positive attitude and good communication skills. Duties will include the following: - Stock housekeeping carts at the start of each shift and during the day as required. - Ensure housekeeping closets, health club area, and washrooms are kept stocked. - Keep the hotel lobby, corridors, health club, and washrooms clean and disinfected. - Clean the conference rooms as directed. - Vacuum carpeting, rugs and draperies; dust or vacuum furniture. - Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors. - Check for and clear away any litter around the hotel. - Assist Room Attendants by removing dirty linen and garbage from guest rooms. - Assist laundry workers in removing wet linen from machines. - Ensure the garbage room is always clean and clear. - Assist the Front Desk in taking items to or from guest rooms. | Credentials | - WHMIS and CPR certifications are assets, not required. - CPR certification is an asset but no required. |
