Your efforts will ensure the quality of the asset portfolio is appropriate and financial returns are commensurate with risk and adequate to sustain the corporation’s long-term viability. This position is designated bilingual (English and French), and the successful candidate must be able to communicate in both of Canada’s official languages. What you’ll do: - Oversee credit risk practices - Review largest and most complex loan applications - Approve lending authorities and manage situations of inappropriate use - Direct credit facility approval and ongoing customer monitoring management protocols - Lead first tier Credit Committee review - Help establish annual corporate objectives - Network with industry peers on issues of strategic importance What we’re looking for: - Proven leader with exceptional judgment passionate about helping others succeed - Team player with a customer focus who can balance effective risk management with growth and strategic execution priorities - Experienced lender with extensive knowledge of the Canadian agriculture and agri-food industry - Critical thinker who understands applicable legislation and can develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies - Confident communicator with a clear vision and expectations for the division - Relationship-builder with solid networking skills able to resolve conflict and create alignment What you’ll need: - A degree in agriculture, business or commerce supplemented with accreditation (such as P.Ag.) and at least 10 years of credit experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) - Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making as it relates to all aspects of credit, negotiation and problem-solving - A love for agriculture | |
