Team Leader, CYMH $79,530.36 - $90,884.16 annually plus a bi-weekly isolation allowance of $38.87 for Prince Rupert and Hazelton and $32.89 for Smithers This position is also posted as a Nurse 9 under REQ 76625 and a LP 6A under REQ 76626. Important Notice to Applicants: This location is currently eligible for a retention incentive which is available to all regular permanent Social Program Officers residing in Hard to Recruit designated communities across the province. In addition to the re-imbursement of relocation costs (where applicable), the incentive program provides the following: • Up to a maximum of $6,000 annual lump sum payment to regular permanent full-time Social Program Officers in the SPO R18 to SPO R30 classifications* OR • Up to a maximum of $3,000 annual lump sum payment to regular permanent full-time Social Program Officers placed in the SPO Growth Series (SPO Growth to SPO R24 classifications) ** Community-based Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Services provide a range of specialized mental health services. These services range from mental health promotion and mental illness prevention to early intervention, treatment and support services for infants, children, and youth with mental health problems, from birth to 19 years of age, and their families/caregivers. The Team Leader, Child and Youth Mental Health works with diverse community partners to deliver a broad range of services. In this role, you are pivotal in establishing and implementing the multi-disciplinary and culturally appropriate approach to service delivery. As well, you provide direction, leadership and support to staff within these teams for professional and integrated services delivery and must ensure adequate clinical support is provided as well as staff training and development. Qualifications for this role include: • Masters Degree in Social Work (Clinical Specialty or equivalent training/education), Educational Counselling, Clinical Psychology, Child, and Youth Care, or equivalent. NOTE: If this education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered. • Experience in the provision of mental health services to children, youth and their families. • A minimum of 6 months or more experience supervising staff. • Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s licence with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province). | |
