The opportunity
Reporting to the Manager of Occupational Health and Hygiene, the Occupational Health Coordinator will provide expertise in creatively delivering occupational health and fitness for work programs such as Alcohol and Drug, Health Surveillance, Pre-employment Medicals and Occupational Health related assessments. 

The successful candidate will be skilled in maintaining program documentation, the development of training materials, the management of data and preparation of reports. This role will be critical in overseeing our medical service providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of daily services.
  
What you'll do

  • Liaise with both the TC Energy employee population as well as our medical service providers to ensure compliance with pre-employment medicals, health surveillance activities, alcohol & drug testing and fitness for work assessments
  • Support the Occupational Health Team in continuous improvement of TC Energy's Occupational Health and Fitness for Work Programs
  • Work collaboratively with the members of the Occupational Health team to implement, monitor and evaluate Fitness for Work Programs
  • Interface with internal / external stakeholders to improve business relationships and effective delivery of our program
  • Contribute to the development of our key performance indicators
  • Track progress on multiple small projects simultaneously
  • Support the development of educational material and coordination of training to interdisciplinary employee groups

 
Minimum Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a health-related discipline
  • 4 years of related work experience in coordinating clinical services
    • A combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience with coordinating clinical services in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience producing technical reports and preparing oral presentations
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Excel, team shared Outlook inboxes

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent and legally licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Alberta
  • Working knowledge of Drug and Alcohol Testing processes and regulations
  • Experience supporting an occupational health team
  • Experience with daily management of vendor relationships and service delivery
  • Ability to multi-task and respond quickly to the daily tactical tasks and inquiries in alignment with the Occupational Health team's protocols
