One (1) permanent full-time position of Housekeeping Supervisor (NOC Code: 6315) available at 2521677 Ontario Inc. o/a Quality Inn & Suites located at 1530 Robinson Court, Kingston, ON K7P 0K4.

Education RequirementsCompletion of Secondary School required
Essential SkillsMain Duties to be completed as per the lead statement of NOC 6315:
• Assigns & supervise workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
• Ensuring all housekeeping activities are performed in compliance with hotel policy.
• Overseeing the daily operations of Housekeeping, managing arrivals, departures, stay overs and extra rooms
• Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff.
• Maintaining the quality of housekeeping activities with routine checks.
• Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.
• Ensuring the highest level of service by exceeding guest expectations to build loyalty
• Monitor labour in accordance with occupancy levels
• Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and takes corrective action.
• Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
• Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
• Prepares reports concerning room occupancy, payroll, and department expenses etc.
• Advises manager, desk clerk, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy.
• Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, and time-cards, and prepares periodic reports.
• Attends staff meetings to discuss company policies and patrons' complaints
• Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage.
• Examines building to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management.
• Assign rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets) as required
