| BC Public Service Agency Multiple Locations We currently have 1 temporary vacancy until September 5th, 2022. This position may become permanent or be extended. An eligibility list may be established for future permanent and/or temporary vacancies. This position is excluded from union membership. Under the supervision of the Senior Product Manager, the Full-Stack Developer builds and supports a portfolio of software applications. The role is crucial in a small team supporting a diverse array of clients and applications across numerous business domains and technology configurations. The full-stack developer blurs the lines between development and operations. The role writes code for new features and deploys applications, customizes them for clients, assists end-users, and ensures reliability and scalability. The full stack developer will have well-developed software engineering skills, proven practical problem-solving abilities and a demonstrated acumen for efficiently realizing business value in software systems. This position will demand constant learning and development; you must stay current in both the business domains they support and the wide range of technology available. Qualifications for this role include: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered • Minimum two years’ experience developing full-stack web applications. • Experience with the full-stack of web development tooling, including databases (relational and non-relational), web-servers and multiple development languages (e.g., PHP, JavaScript, Python, or Java) • Experience with open-source development and virtual teams – including distributed version control via Git. | |
