| Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Positions Available: 1 NOC Group: Cooks (6242) NOC Job Title: Cook Job Location(s) 150 Fourth St, Tofino, BC V0R 2Z0 - Assist with activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers - Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff - May assist with planning menus and requisition food and kitchen supplies - May prepare and cook meals or specialty foods - Help in the preparation and design of all food menus - Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards - Resourcefully help solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation - Work together with kitchen staff, establish working procedures - Inform Chef to order supplies to stock inventory appropriately if required - Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards - Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Tasks: • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, • Clean kitchen and work areas Work conditions and physical capabilities: • Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure Benefits: Staff housing available, other benefits | |
