Proven leader and technology expert needed

With your strategic mindset and technical expertise, you’ll guide and manage the entire technology stack of AgExpert. You’ll be responsible for ideation, research, design, analysis and development of new releases; plus, you’ll support and maintain existing applications.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and mentor the AgExpert software development team, including managing project planning, goal setting, prioritization, budgeting and employee resourcing
• Ensure information and data-related risk is effectively managed
• Use inclusive design principles to improve customer interactions and journeys
• Manage internal and external technical and product collaboration with product development team, lifecycle management analysis, version management and new product ideation
• Lead the architecture, design and development of robust, maintainable and scalable API solutions using the latest technologies and best practices to provide an exceptional customer experience
• Support, maintain and enhance existing processes and systems
• Research and recommend enhancements to existing applications, third-party software, emerging technologies and AgExpert user segments
• Maintain and assess the health of the product delivery framework

What you’ll need:

• A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, computer science, business or commerce and at least 10 years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Extensive knowledge of the agriculture and technology industries
• Expert-level proficiency in one or more technology stacks/languages and the ability to deliver very complex solutions
• Understanding of the majority of FCC’s key technologies
• Expertise in common design patterns and when to apply them
