We provide a wide range of services such as orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, children's dentistry, sedation, dental implants, oral surgery and much more! | Salary | $24.50 per hour for a minimum of 30 hours per week |
| Education Requirements | Completion of a 1-2-year dental assistant program OR completion of secondary schooling with on-the-job training. |
| Essential Skills | - Prepare patients for dental examination and assist the dentist during the examinations. - Prepare dental instruments, fillings, compounds and various dental materials. - Take and develop dental X-rays. - Polish teeth and crowns. - Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts. - Educate patients on oral hygiene. - Perform periodontal screening and recording. - Prepare and maintain patient records. - Sterilize and maintain equipment and instruments. - Polish and buff dentures. - Order office supplies. - Prepare impression trays. - Promote a safe, pleasant and harmonious environment. |
| Experience | 2-3 years. Experience with dental software programs will be an asset. |
