Nawabi Hyderabad House Biryani Place 8015 Financial Drive Brampton Ontario urgently require 4 Cooks with experience & knowledge of tandoori and curry dishes & South Indian dishes like idlis, dosas, sambar and tiffin items, 3 Line Cooks & 1 Pastry Chef.

Personal suitability for all positions: Must be hardworking, organized, dedicated and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Permanent full-time positions.

Wage:
Cooks: $22.50 per hour for a minimum of 30 hours per week; Must be available to work in shifts and on weekends.
Line Cooks: $18/hour per hour for a minimum of 30 hours per week; Must be available to work in shifts and on weekends.
Pastry Chef: $21 per hour per hour for a minimum of 30 hours per week; Must be available to work in shifts and on weekends.

Education RequirementsCooks & Line cooks: Secondary schooling.

Pastry chef: Secondary schooling. Apprentice program in baking will be an asset.
Essential SkillsJob Duties of Cooks:

- Plan, cook and implement menus as per the establishment's style and standards.
- Prepare various curries.
- Prepare tandoori starters, meats and bread.
- Prepare South Indian dishes like idlis, dosais, sambar and other tiffin items.
- Portion, arrange and garnish servings.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and estimate food requirements.
- Oversee kitchen operations and supervise kitchen helpers.
- Regularly review existing menu for opportunities to improve quality & taste.

Job Duties of Line Cooks:
- Complete line checks to ensure that enough product is prepared and kept ready for service.
- Prep ingredients, sauces etc for various recipes on the menu.
- Grill, cook and prepare items on the tandoor.
- Portion, arrange and garnish servings.
- Maintain proper use of kitchen equipment and gadgets.
- Maintain high quality of hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen and work area.
- Accurately follow the instructions of the Chef.
- Follow safe handling procedures at all times.
ExperienceCooks: 3-5 years

Line Cooks: 1-2 years

Pastry chef: 2-3 years' experience in commercial food preparation
