Our perioperative department consists of 3 OR theatres and one Urology room; the OR’s runs five days per week;. with emergencies on evenings and weekends . Operating Room staff provideSs core services to Orthopedics, General Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics, ENT and Urology. OR staff provide coverage for ambulatory clinics including endo and cataracts. | Credentials | - Note: Sites requiring competency in Emergency Room, Perianesthesia and Medical Device Reprocessing functions may also require NRP, TNCC and ACLS certificates. |
| Education Requirements | - Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC). - Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned area (perioperative nursing) |
| Experience | - One year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment on an operating room similar in size and scope to the facility or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
