We are looking to add an experienced Legal Survey Drafting Technologist to our growing legal survey team. - CAD Drafting: Create and update detailed municipal legal survey plans (subdivisions, condominiums, site plans, etc.) using Civil3D software with attention to precision.
- Plan Checking: Review and verify the accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance of survey plans.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure top-notch deliverables.
- Survey Data Review and Processing: Analyze field notes and return data, process information into specialized software and coordinate systems, and conduct thorough calculations and comparisons of surveyed evidence against registered plans.
Salary$80,000.00 - $95,000.00 Per Year
ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience with a diploma or degree in Geomatics, Survey Technology, or a related field or equivalent education/experience. The core skills that will help you succeed here include:
- Strong Attention to Detail: You possess a meticulous approach to checking and preparing survey plans to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Analytical Skills: You have the ability to interpret complex data and provide precise solutions.
- Communication Skills: You have strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Problem Solving: You are proactive in identifying issues and implementing efficient solutions.
- Team Player: You are a team player who enjoys collaborating on a variety of projects.
- Software Proficiency: You have advanced skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant CAD software. Familiarity with Trimble software is an asset.
- Technical Knowledge: You have a strong understanding of legal survey principles, land title systems, and municipal requirements in Alberta.
- Municipal Experience: You have experience in municipal legal survey drafting and site plans (subdivisions, condominiums, etc.)
