Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Multiple locations, BC This position has full time on-site requirements. We are actively recruiting for Commercial Transport Enforcement Officers in multiple locations via Requisition 111568. Applicants need to apply separately to each location of interest. Commercial Transport Enforcement Officer $69,760.70 - $79,322.69 annually The Ministry's Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement Branch (CVSE) programs provide enforcement of six acts and regulations designed to improve vehicle and driver fitness and to protect the highway infrastructure. The Commercial Transport Enforcement Officer (CTEO) enforces compliance with the acts, regulations and standards that govern the road transportation industry. The CTEO protects highway infrastructure and the safety of highway users. This position monitors roadways within an assigned area and may operate from Vehicle Inspection Stations or from an emergency equipped vehicle. The CTEO conducts safety inspections on commercial vehicles and drivers. For more information, check out our CVSE website. Experience | - Secondary school graduation or equivalent. - Experience providing customer service in a fast-paced environment. - Experience interpreting and applying policy and/or procedures. - Valid BC Class 5 (minimum) driver's licence in good standing with no more than nine (9) points within the last five (5) year period with no suspensions or prohibitions. Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following: - One (1) year or more of experience in Commercial Vehicle Enforcement and/or applicants who are Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance certified. - Experience in road transportation or law enforcement. - Experience interpreting and applying acts, regulations, and legislation. - Experience delivering and conducting presentations and seminars. |
