Rangeland Stewardship Officer Apply your expertise and passion for innovation to this rewarding career opportunity The Rangeland Stewardship Officer leads a team of technical and professional specialists responsible for provincial rangeland stewardship practices, ecology, and tenure administration programs, policies, and procedures. As the ministry expert, this position provides advice, interpretation and guidance on the development and implementation of strategic direction and legislation into effective rangeland stewardship operations on provincial public land in British Columbia. Qualifications for this role include: - Degree in range management, plant ecology or related field that includes range sciences (Master's Degree or current enrollment in a Masters Degree program in previously stated disciplines preferred) and a minimum of 15 years experience in range management and administration. - Registered, or eligible for immediate full registration, as a Professional Agrologist with the BC Institute of Agrologists. - A minimum of five (5) years experience negotiating/mediating solutions and developing standards in natural resource management. - Experience at a senior level directly managing technical and/or professional staff in rangeland management. - Experience in public consultation processes dealing with resource management and infrastructure development issues. | |
