| Farmcrest Foods Inc. is looking for 6 Full-time General Farm Workers (NOC 8431) to join our growing team! This is a full-time, permanent position. Job Description: - Plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray, irrigate and harvest crops - Feed and tend poultry and livestock - Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment - Set, transfer and vaccinate eggs in the hatchery - Monitor temperature, air flow and humidity in hatchery - Pull chicks on hatch day and transport to barns - Clean and sanitise hatchery and related equipment - Follow food safety, safe work and animal bio-security procedures - Detect disease and health problems in crops and poultry - Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns - Maintain or assist in the maintenance of facilities and farm infrastructure including cleaning and disinfecting barns. - Preparing barns for new flocks to be placed. - Placing day old chicks in the barns - Catching chickens for slaughter by hand or mechanically - Loading chickens onto truck for transporting to slaughter plant - Unloading/hanging chickens in preparation for slaughter (this job will end at the unloading of chickens to the slaughter plant. No work will be done in the plant) | |
