Resource Authorizations Supervisor

The Ministry of Forests is responsible for the stewardship of provincial Crown land and ensures the sustainable management of forest, wildlife, water and other land-based resources. The Ministry works with Indigenous and rural communities to strengthen and diversify their economies.

As the Resource Authorizations Supervisor, you will be responsible for the supervision, coaching, development and performance management of a team of technical staff in the Mackenzie Natural Resource District. You will also build and maintain relationships with internal and external interest holders, identify operational priorities, and develop strategies for delivering program goals. Your communication, organization and collaboration skills will be an asset in this diverse and challenging role.

Qualifications for this role include:

- Degree, diploma, certification in a natural resource field.
- Experience in negotiating/mediating solutions in natural resource management.
- Experience supervising, leading, coaching and mentoring staff.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- Registered, or eligible for registration as a Registered Forest Technologist with the Association of BC Forest Professionals.
Salary$69,185.43 - $78,814.47 annually
