| Job number: R-1004185 Location: Regina, Saskatchewan Closing date: October 14, 2022 Language(s) required: English Worker Type: Permanent Cyber security expertise required Join our team of experienced cyber security professionals responsible for the security tools, technologies and processes that underpin our security posture. Using your strong interpersonal and communication skills, you'll collaborate with colleagues to recommend and implement security improvements. You'll help shape the vision for the Cyber Security program, apply global threat intelligence to security controls, monitor and respond to security incidents, and participate in proactive activities such as threat hunting, penetration testing and red teaming. You're familiar with related frameworks and practices including NIST CSF, CIS or ISO 27k, SIEM, incident response, cloud security governance, and vulnerability and incident management. What you'll do: - Document and escalate incidents that may cause ongoing impact - Mitigate immediate and potential threats through access to the pertinent domain - Review log files to identify possible threats - Test, review, maintain and administer cyber defence systems - Analyze events for the purpose of mitigating threats - Receive network alerts and determine the cause - Provide timely detection, identification, and alerting of possible attacks or intrusions, anomalous activities, or misuse activities and distinguish these from benign activities What we're looking for: - Organized multi-tasker and critical thinker - Innovative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment - Proven analytical skills and natural intellectual curiosity - Strong communicator with good judgment - Collaborative team player What you'll need: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, math or engineering and at least four years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) - Knowledge of network security methodologies, cyber threats and vulnerabilities | |
