KGH is a tertiary centre for the Southern Interior of British Columbia and a teaching hospital with a new Clinical Academic Campus for the new medical program at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. KGH offers high-level specialty medical care including 24 hour emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic /para-medical services. Interior Health Surgical Centre opened its doors in Fall 2015 with 15 brand new operating room theatres (2 cardiac, 12 regular and 1 hybrid). In total, Kelowna General Hospital has 20 perioperative theatres. This is a relief full time position, until the return of the incumbent (approximately May 2019). | Credentials | • Current CPR certification required. |
| Education Requirements | • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) • Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of perioperative nursing |
| Experience | • One year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment of an operating room similar in size and scope to the applicable site; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
