KGH is a tertiary centre for the Southern Interior of British Columbia and a teaching hospital with a new Clinical Academic Campus for the new medical program at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. KGH offers high-level specialty medical care including 24 hour emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic /para-medical services. Interior Health Surgical Centre opened its doors in Fall 2015 with 15 brand new operating room theatres (2 cardiac, 12 regular and 1 hybrid). In total, Kelowna General Hospital has 20 perioperative theatres.

This is a relief full time position, until the return of the incumbent (approximately May 2019). Shifts are rotating days and evenings. On-call is required.

Credentials• Current CPR certification required.
Education Requirements• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP)
• Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of perioperative nursing
Experience• One year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment of an operating room similar in size and scope to the applicable site; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
