| Baywood Interiors Ltd. was founded in 1994 in Kitchener, Ontario. As a privately owned Canadian corporation, also operating under the registered trade names of “Baywood Millwork” and “Baywood Interior Millwork”, we manufacture high quality Architectural Millwork and Store Fixtures for our client base throughout Canada. Baywood Interiors serves the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional construction industry as well as the Retail construction industry by providing millwork and building and installing store fixtures. We are seeking a full-time experienced cabinet maker to join our dynamic team. Job Requirements • Study architectural & shop drawings and specifications. • Mark outlines or dimensions of parts of wood according to blueprint or drawing specifications. • Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components. • Construct and assemble cabinet components, making sure that all pieces fit the dimensions specified by the foreman and client. • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints. • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products. • Installation of custom cabinetry, all mouldings and handles as per detailed drawings. • Use various hand tools to fabricate and repair wooden cabinets. • May estimate amount, type and cost of materials required. • Maintain clean and safe work environment. Qualifications • High school or equivalent • Minimum one year of cabinet making experience • Ability to set up and operate variety of woodworking machines • Knowledge of various hand tools • Excellent communication skills • Be able to work both independently and in a team-work environment Job Location & Business Address 55 Hollinger Crescent Kitchener, ON N2K 2Y8 Terms of Employment Permanent, Full Time | |
