POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Operate a Semi-Truck (Class 1) and lowbed trailer(s);
  • Load / Unload Heavy Equipment at work sites;
  • Able to properly secure and safely deliver Heavy Equipment;
  • Able to maintain a safe record of driving performance;
  • Able to perform minor mechanical tasks such as jump starting equipment for loading;
  • Plan work and co-ordinate it with others;
  • Prepare and submit equipment maintenance records, time sheets, log books, etc;
  • Obtain certification in CPR safety rules.
  • An emphasis on safety is critical for all employees. This is a high risk environment - working around heavy moving equipment.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a valid High School Diploma or GED;
  • Must possess Class 1 Driver’s License with Air Endorsement;
  • Must have a Clean Driver’s Abstract;
  • 2 Years Driving Experience is required;
  • Obtain certification in CPR safety rules;
  • Ability to safely pick up and deliver Heavy Equipment to and from worksites;
  • Must be able to work alone or in a team environment as required:
  • Ability to operate Heavy Equipment for loading / unloading;
  • Mechanical experience would be an asset to this position;
  • Must be able to pass a Class 1 Driver Evaluation;
  • Ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment;
  • Ability to follow instructions;
  • Written and verbal communications skills;
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly as demands change

Also essential to this position is a desire to:

  • work shifts and overtime (including weekends if necessary)
  • work outside in all weather conditions
  • work away from home for extended periods of time.
