| Ministry of Forests Multiple Locations (Hybrid) Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment. This position can be based in any of the following Ministry of Forests offices: Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson or Fort St John. Manager, First Nations Relations $86,200.00 - $122,100.01 annually The Manager, First Nations Relations leads the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of the province's duty to consult First Nations and to provide authoritative advice, interpretation and/or consultation services for one of the Ministry of Forests eight regions. Qualifications for this role include: - Master's degree in natural resource management, forestry, agrology, First Nations studies or a related discipline and at least three (3) year of recent, related experience; OR - Bachelor's Degree in natural resource management, forestry, agrology, First Nations studies or a related discipline and at least four (4) years of recent, related experience; OR - Diploma in natural resource management, forestry, agrology, First Nations studies or a related discipline and at least seven (7) years of recent, related experience; OR - A combination of education, training and experience may be considered; AND - Recent experience is defined as experience gained within the last eight (8) years. *Recent, related experience must include all of the following: - Experience leading consultations and/or participating in negotiations with Indigenous peoples. - Experience in Indigenous relationship building. - Experience leading and resolving complex issues (staff and client) - Experience in supervising, leading, coaching, and mentoring staff | |
