 PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering the overall cybersecurity project and its deliverables by acting as the single point of contact for the project. This includes responsibility for planning and executing project activities and managing resources to ensure the established scope, budget, time and quality goals are met.

 POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Project Initiation
    • Work with technical and business leaders to define project investment opportunities, including scope, schedule, budget, and benefits
    • Identify and negotiate project resource requirements with delivery organizations (internal & external), set delivery expectations, and evaluate delivery performance
  • Project Delivery
    • Direct accountability for planning and executing one or more Agile or Waterfall projects as solution scope requires to project performance criteria (on time, within scope, on budget, and meeting quality standards) as defined in the project statement(s)
    • Develop project estimate basis leveraging expertise in the particular area
    • Work with Product and resource owners to identify internal and external stakeholders, and then lead stakeholders management activities throughout the project life cycle
    • Own the development and review of project requirements with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Technical Leads to ensure project will deliver to the planned benefits
    • Facilitate interactions between Technical Leads, Project Delivery Staff, and QA Leads to ensure that project delivery and testing completion are aligned
    • Facilitate cross-departmental project delivery activities, and gain commitment for delivery while managing competing demands, to ensure that project delivery dates are not compromised
    • Plan project implementations, facilitate implementation dry runs, and lead Go live activities to ensure production implementations do not adversely impact the production environment
    • Escalate material issues and risks to leadership in a timely fashion
    • Ensure that Organizational Change Management activities are completed to drive product adoption
    • Ensure that Transition to Support is planned for, completed, and approved  so that the support organization can support all new or modified systems
  • Project Controls
    • Follow IS PMO processes regarding deliverables, stage gates, and controls in accordance with SOX and management controls compliance
    • Create and maintain project financials across project cost budget managed in SAP and Excel; provide accurate and timely project financial submissions
    • Develop, monitor and control all aspects of project delivery in accordance with CP IS PMO and project management best practices
    • Develop, and support the development, of presentations to senior management regarding project scope, schedule, budget, and current status updates
  • Team Leadership
    • Provide project leadership:  set clear goals, engage team members, resolve conflict and recognize team member contributions appropriately
    • Conduct regular lessons learned sessions to ensure continuous improvement of project teams

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of experience leading multi-stakeholder business focused IS projects
  • Solid high level understanding of cybersecurity
  • Experience with Cybersecurity related technologies and large enterprise implementations is desired
  • Rapidly learn new business processes and operating practices, and apply this knowledge to improve project planning and delivery
  • Self-starter, the successful candidate demonstrates strong accountability and pride of ownership to deliver quality solutions
  • Deliver cybersecurity projects using primary Iterative, Agile or Waterfall Project methodologies
  • Lead SOW development, participate in contract negotiations, and manage Vendors and materials delivery
  • Hands-on experience using Jira and Microsoft Project to plan and deliver projects
  • Ability to communicate and influence decision making at executive and working levels, with demonstrated prioritization and conflict resolution experience
  • Advanced project management practical expertise across knowledge areas: scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communication, risk and procurement and integration management;
  • University degree or equivalent in Commerce/Business Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Project Management Professional certificate (PMP) or equivalent experience
  • PMI-ACP or Certified Scrum Master would be considered an asset

Management Conductor Program:
