Lead, House of Indigenous Learning

The Lead, House of Indigenous Learning is responsible for successfully managing the ongoing development and delivery of timely and effective training for employees in response to the government's commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Report's Call to Action 57, United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UN Declaration), the Declaration Act and related commitments under the Diversity and Inclusion Branch.

The Lead is a recognized leader who analyses and implements complex deliverables and successfully leads a team of internal and external resources to ensure positive and consistent experiences for participants at the employee, supervisor, manager, senior leader and executive levels.

Qualifications for this role include:
- Due to the nature of the position, and in accordance with section 42 of the BC Human Rights Code, only people of Indigenous heritage who meet the job requirements will be considered.

Education and experience:
- Experience leading projects or supervising employees.
- Experience in planning, developing, and implementing training and professional development initiatives as related to Indigenous learning. Preference may be given to applicants with a minimum of 1 year experience.
- Experience in Indigenous and/or western design, methodology, development and implementation of learning and development programs, curricula, and products.
- Preference may be given to applicants who have experience implementing the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action.
Salary$69,600.00 - $98,399.97 annually
