Ministry of Forests Merritt (Hybrid) Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement. Wildfire Rehab Coordinator $73,855.42 - $84,134.34 annually The Wildfire Rehabilitation Coordinator is focused on supporting the planning and implementation of the fire suppression rehabilitation program. Working with diverse teams, they gather and manage complex natural resource data, complete analysis and develop options. They provide sound technical expertise and guidance as well as facilitate and coordinate projects, engaging directly with a wide variety of stakeholders. Experience | Qualifications for this role include: - Technical diploma or higher in a natural resource management related field, OR - An equivalent combination of education and training plus, two (2) or more years of related experience* working in a natural resource sector, AND - Registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as a Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) with the Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC). Note: confirmation of registration/eligibility is required before an offer of employment can be made. *Related experience includes the following: - Training and experience in wildfire suppression rehabilitation or equivalent experience in natural resource management and operations. - Experience providing excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. - Experience in project management. - Experience in contract management. |
