The opportunity

The Risk Analyst role is a unique opportunity for those who excited by a broad range of duties involving the development and analysis of project risks. These include but are not limited to: continuous improvement, performance measurement / reporting, and stakeholder engagement and coordination. The successful candidate is able to think strategically and work with a myriad of stakeholders in all areas and levels of the organization.

 

What you’ll do

  • Creation and presentation of analysis and key project risks to project teams and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate Hazard and Risk identification sessions with stakeholders' groups and leaders to translate experience into statistical models
  • Assist in ongoing project risk management activities and reporting
  • Understand and analyze key project documentation (Project Execution Plans, Project Hazard Assessments, HAZID/HAZOP, Business Cases, Estimates, Schedules, Forecasts, etc.) to facilitate risk analysis
  • Development of positive relationships with various stakeholders in business units and on projects
  • Assist the implementation and management of project risk database and related reporting
  • Providing recommendations on execution and implementation of mitigations

 
Minimum qualifications

  • University degree Supply Chain, Commerce, Economics, Accounting or related field
  • 4+ years of progressive relevant experience with knowledge and experience in continuous process improvement and critical thinking
  • Ability to establish strong relationships to build understanding of customer business needs and required outcomes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with the ability to engage, facilitate, present and interact will all levels of organization
  • Self-starter who works well under pressure with strong planning and execution skills
  • Able to effectively and seamlessly adapt between team and self-governing working environments while managing contesting priorities
  • Business maturity and awareness with topics and matters that are confidential and competition sensitive
  • Attitude and aptitude for continuous improvement and change management 
     

Preferred qualifications

  • Construction experience in Oil and Gas Industry
  • Knowledge of TC Energy business and project strategies, practices, processes and systems
  • Exposure to complex project management environments and an understanding of the differing interdependencies that need to be considered
  • Understanding of industry standard risk management practices and terminology (ISO 31000, PMBOK, etc.)
