Sidewalk Concrete Finisher (Heavy Construction) (NOC: 7282) Vacancies: 15 Salary: $30.63 to $33.00 / Hour Job Location: Position requires travel to various sites anywhere in Alberta Requirements: minimum 3 years of relevant work experience Work Setting: Roads and bridges, Sidewalks and curbs Major Work Area: Construction Type of Materials: Hardners and epoxies, Colours and sealers, Reinforcing membrane and protective covering Specific Skills: Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade, Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement, Operate power vibrators to compact concrete, Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification, Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces, Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces, Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Bending, crouching, kneeling Heavy Construction Equipment Operator (Finisher Grader & Finisher Paver Operators AB/SK) (NOC: 7521) Vacancies: 10 Salary: $31.00 to $35.00 / Hour Job Location: Based in Alberta, may require travel to various locations in Alberta/Saskatchewan/Northwest Territories (except Fort McMurray) Requirements: minimum 1 year of relevant work experience Work Setting/Industry Experience: Road Construction Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Grader, Paver Specific Skills: Operate heavy equipment, Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, Secure special attachments to equipment.
