We're seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst, Analytics and Model Management to partner with key stakeholders and peers to support and engage with our powerful networks of people, opportunities, and investments. ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As an Analyst/Senior Analyst, Analytics and Model Management, you'll be reporting to the Director, Analytics and Model Management, in Public Markets Risk. The incumbent will be part of a quantitative team responsible for derivatives model research, daily valuation and pricing. Through a deep understanding of the public market investment strategies and the various financial instruments they comprise. The incumbent will also perform daily reporting of market value fluctuations and performance attribution to provide value-adding insights to risk and investment management functions.

The incumbent will be a thought-leader within the team, regularly leading initiatives to enhance team and sector analytics capacities and working closely with various transversal groups supporting investment activities on common regulatory and internal projects.

As an Analyst/Senior Analyst, Analytics and Model Management you'll:

Produce and interpret derivatives valuations and preliminary profit and loss ("P&L") reports and associated analytics daily for investment groups and various stakeholders

Troubleshoot and validate production quality, ensuring that reports are produced promptly and without error

Ensure the integrity of valuation of over-the-counter derivatives daily, and the use of models that are consistent with current industry practices

Act as the central point of contact for questions or requests related to daily reporting

Provide daily valuation and performance analytics and insights to different groups, interacting with risk and investment managers

Collaborate closely with financial operations and information technology teams to ensure the ongoing integrity of transaction and pricing data and processes required for valuation and performance reporting

Propose and develop improvements to valuation models, analytical tools, systems and processes

Advocate at key transversal committees for proper capture and management of market operations of new and existing financial products critical to accurate daily valuation

Collaborate on initiatives to enhance or overhaul valuation and business intelligence systems and workflows to extract insights into key drivers of performance and potential investment risks

Keep abreast of developments in the industry and seek opportunities to apply them within the mandate

Actively participate in any other project and/or operational tasks to support team mandate

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Bachelor or Masters' degree in financial engineering or a related area of study
At least 2 (two) years of experience in the capital markets industry in a similar role
Strong understanding of derivatives instruments valuation, including trade lifecycle events
Advanced knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies
Ability to query and manipulate datasets (ex., via Microsoft SQL Server, Excel)
Programming skills (primarily Python, SQL or equivalent)
Experience with business intelligence systems (i.e., PowerBI, Tableau) considered an asset
Relevant professional designation (PRM, FRM, CFA, CQF, etc.) considered an asset
Proficiency with market data providers, (i.e., Bloomberg, Reuters, ICE Data Services, etc.) considered an asset
Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy
Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive, fact-based, value-added research
Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation

Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
