Foremost Equipment LP is in need of Industrial Painters

Employment Terms: Full Time - Permanent

Foremost Equipment has an immediate opening for an Industrial Painter in their Stettler facility. With your knowledge and experience in automotive industry you will be responsible for the preparation and application of high-grade finishes for our Hydrovac product line. This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes and oils. Working conditions include working at heights up to 14' as well as confined areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conform to quality control standards and constructions specifications, drawings, sketches, layout boards, etc., and/or verbal instructions
2. Prepare and apply primer
3. Apply coats of internal coating, (protective and decorative) to all parts of finished products and/or equipment
4. Operate brush or spray equipment as required and is responsible for proper storage and handling of all consumables, paints and painting supplies
5. Read, understand and follow working instructions/directions, policies and procedures
6. Attend production meetings daily, report status of jobs in progress and upcoming production plans
7. Maintain frequent contract with QC and Production to ensure all painting and coating requirements are met
8. Follow the company safe work procedures and legislated safety requirements
9. Comply with all WHMIS and environmental regulations regarding the storage, use and disposal of hazardous chemicals
10. Perform other related duties as required

Working Hours: 9-10 hours/day; shift will vary between days and nights from Monday to Sunday;
2-3 days off on varied days

Employment Requirements:
- Ability to calculate values in Metric and Imperial
- Good communication skills, with the ability to give and take clear direction; verbal and written
- Detailed oriented and willing to function as part of a highly motivated team
- WHMIS, Fall Protection, and Confined Space training
- Must pass pre-employment physical demands and abilities assessment

Education RequirementsCompletion of secondary school is required
ExperienceMinimum 1 year of related experience is required; Auto Body experience or Trade Certificate and familiarity with tank, vessel and pipe coating an asset
