The Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for the following teaching position to be offered in the Winter 2025Term.

Class Times: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 2:30-3:20pm

Wage Rate*: As per schedule “A” of the CUPE, Local 3906, Unit 2 Collective Agreement, the Sessional Faculty rate is $8,056.37 for 3 units.

Course Description: Nominal and effective rates of interest and discount, forces of interest and discount, compound interest, annuities certain; amortization, sinking funds, bonds, security evaluation, determination of yields.

Required Qualifications: MSc and/or PhD in Mathematics or related field and classroom experience with the curriculum. Selection will be based on seniority, academic qualifications, communication skills, teaching competence, ability to perform the various duties of the Appointment, and previous academic employment experience (these criteria are not listed in order of priority).

*Supplemented Fees- 15.02 The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement.  The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount.  If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
