The Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for the following teaching position to be offered in the Winter 2025 Term. Date of Posting: June 25 - July 12, 2024 Course Name/Number: Math 1AA3 - Calculus for Science II Term: Winter Term, January 6 - April 8, 2025 Number of Section(s) Available: 1 section (C01) Number of Units per Section: 3 units Location: Central Campus Projected Enrollment: 300 Projected TA Support: TBD Class Times: Monday and Wednesday 8:30-9:20 am and Friday 10:30-11:20am Wage Rate*: As per schedule “A” of the CUPE, Local 3906, Unit 2 Collective Agreement, the Sessional Faculty rate is $8056.37 for 3 units. Course Description: For students in science: additional techniques of integration, applications of definite integrals, differential equations, polar coordinates, parametrized curves. Sequences, infinite series, power series. Partial derivatives, double integrals. Required Qualifications: MSc and/or PhD in Mathematics or related field and classroom experience with the curriculum. Selection will be based on seniority, academic qualifications, communication skills, teaching competence, ability to perform the various duties of the Appointment, and previous academic employment experience (these criteria are not listed in order of priority).
