Global Health PhD Scientist, Department of Medicine, McMaster University, Faculty of Health Sciences Position Description The Department of Medicine invites applications for a faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor rank in the contractually limited appointment category. This is a three-year appointment with the potential for renewal. We are seeking early career investigator(s) with research expertise in chronic disease epidemiology with content expertise in: 1) Knowledge Translation or 2) OMICS analysis and integration into epidemiologic studies. The successful applicant (s) must have a PhD and at least 2 years as a post-doctoral fellow. The successful candidate(s) must have a track record of being awarded national or international salary support recognizing their success in research, and a minimum of 10 first-authored publications in their fields. The incumbents will be members of the Global Health Program and will be expected to drive exciting and innovative research programs, obtain peer reviewed grants, teach, and supervise MSc and PhD students. The successful candidate (s) should also have experience working with diverse research teams, supervision of students, and an excellent record of collegiality and collaboration, all of which are prerequisites for this position.
