POST DOCTORATE FELLOW - FABRICATION

Description

The project is to develop waveguide based photonic devices. The Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) will be responsible for device design, fabrication, and test. The PDF will also be responsible for packaging the developed devices and conducting field test of the packaged working prototype.

Minimum Qualifications

A PhD in an appropriate field (e.g. physics, mechanics, engineering). Solid training in mechanics, or photonics, physics, electronics, EM waves and acoustic waves, and materials. Skills in using cleanroom equipment and mechanical 3D design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Solid Edge). Hand-on experience in photonic device development. Excellent learning ability, excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Experience on waveguide device fabrication in cleanroom is a plus
