POST DOCTORATE FELLOW - DPSS LASER

Description

The project is to develop for diode pumped solid state (DPSS) mid-IR laser development. The post-doctoral fellow (PDF) will be responsible for simulation, fabrication, test and package of the DPSS lasers. The PDF will also be responsible for laser based Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) system development for remote sensing.

Minimum Qualifications

A PhD degree in an appropriate field (e.g. physics, photonics). Solid training in photonics with in-depth knowledge on lasers and laser related applications. Skills in using multiphysics software COMSOL and ZEMAX. Hand-on experience in photonic devices and systems. Excellent learning ability, excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Experience on LiDAR and/or DPSS laser related research is a plus.
