| Ministry of Forests Vanderhoof Resource Manager $77,700.20 - $110,000.05 annually Join a dynamic team of forestry management professionals in beautiful Vanderhoof, BC The Ministry of Forests has a mandate to manage specified Crown land and resources in a manner that embraces the economic, environmental and social goals of government. These results are all essential to improving the global competitiveness of BC industry and our ability to attract private investment and to stimulate economic growth and job creation across the province. As the Resource Manager, you will work within natural resource management or infrastructure development (for example forest management or transportation operations) and be accountable for managing the delivery of district wide operations consistent with Ministry priorities, objectives, and legislative requirements. You will also oversee a great team of technical, administrative, and professional staff. Qualifications for this role include: - Diploma or higher level of education in a field related to natural resource management or business/public administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. - Minimum of 3 years' experience in the operational management of natural resources; preference may be given to forestry experience. - Minimum of 3 years' experience successfully leading and coaching multi-disciplinary teams. - Minimum of 3 years' experience successfully developing and maintaining working relationships and resolving problems with stakeholders in natural resource management or infrastructure development. - Must possess and maintain a valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence (or equivalent). | |
