In this temporary role, you will support our Petro-Canada Sales and Marketing (S&M) business by owning and stewarding the development of our Retail and Wholesale business system capability strategies and roadmaps.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Lead stewardship and updates to our business system capability inventory, maturity assessments and overall roadmap
  • Coordinate, influence and participate in the development of product roadmaps to ensure that they are aligned to our overall business capability roadmaps
  • Lead all aspects of the integrated planning process with S&M processes and business capability roadmaps, supporting and prioritizing decision-making and our Customer Centric focus
  • Build and execute processes and governance to intake new business initiatives and assess the requirements
  • Understand, adhere to, and promote our Asset Development and Execution Model (ADEM) and Agile project frameworks for initiatives
  • Coordinate, contribute to, and help shape the strategic development related to S&M business systems and payment innovation/development
  • Monitor and determine opportunities that align to business strategies and our programs underway
  • Stay on top of all new business capability technology and payment trends that could advance S&M business strategies and positively influence transaction and customer experiences
  • Engage with IT and S&M to develop an IT annual financial and capability plan

We’d like to review your application if you have…

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • 10 years of experience including exposure to business strategy planning, business architecture and/or IT system planning in a B2C or B2B environment
  • Experience with business architecture, capability mapping, and process analysis and improvements
  • A University Degree in Business or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of standard project management processes and tools
  • Advanced communication, non-authoritative leadership and social skills to influence and encourage business and capability planning and thinking and manage cross-functional teams
  • Proven capability to interface between technical and business opportunities, requirements and challenges
  • Expert analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to integrate several non-affiliated concepts and approaches
  • Initiative and ability to take on new challenges independently
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Knowledge Retail and Wholesale systems, payment and transaction processes

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Downstream head office in Mississauga, located at 2489 North Sheridan Way
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • This is a 12 month temporary assignment SAP:IND
