Position Description:

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is a large multi-site department with over 100 full and part time faculty located at two fully affiliated teaching hospitals, and at community teaching hospitals and distributed education sites. The department provides leading edge women’s health care through clinical excellence, innovative research, and effective educational strategies. ONE Fertility Clinic located at 3210 Harvester Rd, Burlington, continually strives for excellence in patient experience, clinical outcomes, and staff engagement. As a team, we are committed to promoting a culture of integrity, respect, and compassion for all. Our range of services includes: Consultation for infertility, reproductive endocrinology or reproductive surgery; Controlled Ovarian Stimulation; Intrauterine Insemination (IUI); Therapeutic Donor Insemination (TDI); In Vitro Fertilization (IVF); Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI); Blastocyst Culture; Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT) Assisted Hatching; Cryo-Preservation of Embryos, Sperm and Oocytes; a Third-Party Reproduction Program including Donor Egg, Donor Sperm, Gestational Carrier and Donor Embryo (Donor Embryo for ONE Fertility patients only); and Counselling.

Our patient referral base, which is primarily in the Burlington/Hamilton region, extends beyond Guelph, Kitchener and Cambridge to the north, Windsor to the west, and Niagara, Oakville and Mississauga to the east.

We are seeking a full-time REI Physician to become a member of a team including four other REI specialists. Job duties will include the following:

  • Provide exceptional clinical care in all aspects of REI including infertility consults, IUI, DI, IVF, PGT, and third-party reproduction.
  • Share in a rotation for cycle monitoring (IUI and IVF) as well as procedures (including weekends).
  • Participate in REI call (including weekends).
  • Apply for admitting privileges at Hamilton Health Sciences.
  • Hold a full-time academic appointment at McMaster University, in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology; and
  • Provide teaching and clinical supervision of medical students, OBGYN residents, and GREI residents.

Qualifications / Required Skills:

  • Certification (or eligible for) in the sub-specialty of GREI by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
  • Licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
  • Practice an evidence-based approach to infertility care.
  • Exemplary skills for surgery and IVF procedures.
  • Desire for continual personal and professional development through ongoing learning.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
