FACILITIES MAINTENANCE MECH

Job Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for minor preventative maintenance and servicing to various building systems.

Primary Job Accountabilities

o Perform duties of a Facilities Mechanic in Ontario.

o Performs maintenance including cleaning and filter replacement on fan coil units.

o Change filters and filter media in fans or ducting. o Clean and maintain air diffusers.

o Execute preventative maintenance and inspections as per the prescribed schedule and as appropriate to level and training.

o Inspect and document building components for compliance to operating parameters (e.g. Fire extinguishers, drinking fountains, etc.)

General Accountabilities

o Operates within established security and safety regulations.

o Remains knowledgeable and current with certificate requirements through participation in courses, instructional seminars and trade shows as required and/or sponsored by the University.

o Communicates with fellow workers, faculty, students, staff and visitors in an appropriate and effective manner.

o In a position of trust, perform job assignments in an efficient and effective manne
