Employment Term:
Must be available to work early in the morning, daytime, evening, night and weekend.
Willing to travel cross-border, to the USA, and to travel overnight.
Willing to drive 3-7 days away from home on each trip.

Education:
No degree, certificate, or diploma

Credentials:
Class 1 or A Driver's License
An Air Brake Adjustment Certificate is required.
Must have the ability to travel to and from the USA.

Experience:
Experience is an asset.

Work Location Information:
There are various locations for pickup and delivery of the goods and materials.

Medical exam, drug test, and driving record check (abstract)

Weight Handling:
Up to 23 Kg (50 lbs.)

The primary duties of a Long-haul Truck Driver are, but are not limited to:

Operate and drive Dry Van, Tractor-trailer, and or Reefer trucks to transport goods and materials.
Plan trip logistics and obtain the required documentation to transport goods.
Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories such as tires, lights, turn signals, brakes, and cold storage.
Ensure cargo is adequately secured per safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting goods.
Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo internationally.
Record cargo information, service hours, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain logbooks.
Communicate with the dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and onboard computers and hands-free cell phones.
Drive as part of a two-person team.
