Job Type: Permanent Minimum Education: High School Positions Available: 1 NOC Group: Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance Contractors and Managers (8255) NOC Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Manager Job Location(s) 1451 Pacific Rim Hwy Tofino, British Columbia V0R 2Z0 Canada Job Duties: Provide 5-star customer service to all guests. Acknowledge and greet guests with a warm and friendly greeting. Ensure staff are cleaning and maintaining the Campground in a timely manner and in accordance with Surf Grove quality standards. (This includes sites, RVs, garbage/recycling, bathrooms, showers, operation areas, and commons) Manage grounds day-to-day inventories and ordering Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin axle-vehicles, leaf blowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters and pruning saws. Clean and maintain Campground sites Perform lawn maintenance and plant beds by mowing, mulching, weeding, aerating, grubbing, thatch removal, trimming or edging and pruning. Clean and maintain walkways. Maintain or repair tools, equipment or structures Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters or other grounds features. Assist in the collection, sorting and returning of recycling. Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, onto grass, shrubs, trees etc. Maintain Campground garbage/recycling bins, doggie bag dispensers, ashtrays. Work closely with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction. Answer or investigate all guest inquiries in a timely manner. Comply with all Campground safety guidelines and be familiar with emergency procedures. Perform other job-related duties and special projects assigned Employment Requirements: Ability to work well unsupervised, at a fast pace while maintaining quality standards Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team Ability to maintain a high level of work ethic and attention to detail Excellent communication and organizational skills Highly responsible and reliable 7 months- 1 year experience Working Conditions: Must be physically able to lift moderately heavy items. Must be capable of movements such as bending, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs when required. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and remain standing or walking for long periods of time.
