Duties: Red River College, Portage Campus requires a classroom Instructor for teaching, supervision and guidance of students in both classroom and practicum settings. This will include; preparing course outlines, maintaining student records, student evaluation, development and adherence to the delivery schedule within an allocated time, attendance at scheduled meetings, ensuring curriculum content is consistent with parent program and student assignments which reflect industry needs. Courses may include but not limited to: Educational Assistant Roles and Responsibilities, Portfolio Development, and Observation and Documentation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant education degree. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
- Significant classroom experience, related to providing instruction, assistance and assessments
- Ability to instruct all classes related to the Educational Assistant Certificate Program
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective leadership skills, including effective conflict resolution
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

- Commitment to lifelong learning

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level
- Experience developing and instructing distance delivered courses including on-line
- Experience training others in education related topics
- Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work overtime
