ABOUT THE TEAM
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) acts as a financial advisor and business partner to actively support the decision-making process in the organization. The department analyzes complex firm-wide data and develops narratives and visuals to support the "storytelling" and the decision-making process. The team works closely with the business to understand key drivers of financial performance and steer results.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As an Advisor, Financial Planning and Analysis, proactively support the team's various functions, such as recurring and in-depth financial analysis, financial modeling, financial projections, and support the department's financial digital tools and processes.

More precisely you'll:
Perform analysis of monthly and quarterly groups results, documenting variances, discerning trends, and comparing against projections and historical data
Create financial analysis presentation to provide quarterly updates to the different groups highlighting main trends and telling the story behind the numbers.
Build robust financial models to support decision making
Support senior management with in-depth analysis of investment related information or departmental expenses as required
Manage the annual budget and multi-year projection for assigned departments, in collaboration with various stakeholders in the organization
Collaborate to the enhancement of our financial projection models, by identifying and leveraging drivers between groups and cost types, as well as investment strategies
Support the department's financial digital tools and processes, driving further modernization and automation in line with the departments and PSP objectives
Improve the financial planning tool and recommend optimization to improve operations efficiency and data quality

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or Computer Science
Master in Business Administration, CFA and/or accounting designation, an asset
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience, preferably for a large organization, preferably in the financial industry and/or asset management
Experience and strong knowledge of IBM Planning Analytics solutions (or similar EPM applications), including coding, building cubes/models, TI processes, access and security rules, etc an asset
Expertise in financial modelling and data analytics, and ability to navigate through complex set of information
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python, etc.), an asset
Highly organized and multitasking skills
Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy
Effective communications skills and ability to relate to a diverse group of stakeholders
Rigorous, strong attention to detail and sense of accuracy
Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
