Wages:

$7,630.55 / 3 units

Wage Rate*: As per schedule “A” of the CUPE, Local 3906, Unit 2 Collective Agreement, the Sessional Faculty rate is $7,630.55.00 for 3 units.  Applicants must include information regarding current and/or aggregate seniority as defined in Article 20.                  

Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties

Is the pen mightier than the sword?  It depends on the writer.  Effective leaders understand that clear writing is persuasive writing.  They understand their audience and context.  Working, in part, in the technology-enriched environment of an active learning classroom, students will explore the elements of effective writing for a range of audiences and situations, from a tweet to academic writing to a job application letter.  These critical skills will serve as the foundation for student success.

Required Qualifications

The successful applicant(s) must have experience teaching this course or similar courses at the university level.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD degree or near completion and experience teaching at a University level.
