Description
Our Fraser Valley Practice team is looking to add a capable and enthusiastic Civil Engineer / Consultant to the existing team of professionals in our growing Abbotsford and/or Surrey offices. In this role, you will benefit from the support of industry professionals while working on exciting and challenging projects that make a visible difference in many communities, including local municipalities and governments, as well as Indigenous communities/First Nations.

Salary$100,000.00 - $125,000.00 Per Year
ExperienceThe ideal candidate for this opportunity will be a Civil Engineer with 5+ years of experience and be registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC. In addition, the following attributes would be considered a benefit to this role:

- You are interested in working with municipalities and Indigenous communities in BC.
- You have experience in or are interested in, working with municipalities and Indigenous communities in the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland, a working knowledge of Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) funding models will be considered an asset.
- You are available to travel throughout Lower Mainland and British Columbia for project work, including visiting communities (possess a valid class 5 driver's license).
- You have experience with engineering design and analysis of water systems, sanitary systems, stormwater, roads and land/subdivision development.
- You have experience in delivering projects from feasibility to detailed design, contract administration and construction, as well as preparing budgets, work plans, scope of work and cost estimates.
- You have the ability to effectively deliver our services within multi-disciplinary, fast-paced, multi-year projects, and can thrive in a self-directed work environment.
- You enjoy taking initiative and seeking out opportunities to collaborate with people of varying backgrounds and perspectives.
- You are keen to collaborate and communicate with clients and internal teams, with the perspective of developing, in parallel to engineering experience, a consulting mindset.
- You have a strong interest in coaching and mentoring others.
- You demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
