Who we're looking for:

As part of the Wireless Strategy, Partnerships & Innovation team, we are looking for a seasoned and strong technology leader to fill the Sr Wireless Strategist role. The candidate needs to demonstrate a solid understanding and work experience in Wireless Networks and have the technical and business acumen to help lead the development and execution of wireless strategies and technology roadmaps within the organization.  

 

What you'll do:

  • Develop 2-3 year network strategies across wireless network domains
  • Collaborate and seek alignment with key engineering and technology stakeholders across platforms and services 
  • Strong insights on emerging industry trends, new technologies, wireless and wireline convergence, and new business insights
  • Support innovation activities and help drive development and productization of new wireless applications and use cases with business
  • Opportunities for presenting strategies to internal business and technology stakeholders, and senior leadership team
  • Budgetary forecasting and planning will be required
     

What you bring:

  • 10+ year experience in wireless telecom, working in technical roles within equipment suppliers and/or wireless service providers 
  • Deep experience and demonstrate solid understanding of Wireless Access (RAN), Packet and IMS Core, IP Transport, and Cloud/MEC architectures, features and capabilities, plus vendor roadmap
  • Experience in developing network strategies and detail roadmap planning is a MUST
  • Good understand of Radio Access Air-interfaces, wireless spectrum, and various OpenRAN, V/C-RAN architectures and deployment scenarios 
  • Good knowledge of overall telecom industry, competitive landscape, new wireless trends, GSMA/3GPP/ITU Standards and Regulations 
  • Experience working with 4G/5G NSA/SA networks, IoT, Satellite NTN and next gen wireless technologies (5G+, 6G)
  • Familiar with leading suppliers’ wireless product offerings and roadmaps across RAN and Core (Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Qualcomm, Nvidia, etc)
  • Strong and confident communicator. Proficient with MS Powerpoint.  
  • Great team player, and eager to work in a fast pace, agile, and dynamic environment. 
  • Good understanding of budgetary process, and YoY forecasting and planning

This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week. You can choose which days in office work best for you!
