| About the Opportunity Our Calgary office is looking for a capable and enthusiastic civil engineering technology student to join our team for a 4 or 8-month work term joining us May 2023! We understand the need for you to have meaningful work terms during your education, so we strive to create opportunities that are challenging, multifaceted and rewarding. Our goal is for you to come away with an enhanced skill set that will serve you well in your future career as a technologist. This opportunity will involve varied experience working with seasoned veterans and recent graduates alike. Typical duties may include: - Preparation of as-built drawings for record submission - Civil drafting associated with land development projects and other infrastructure work - Drafting detailed engineering drawings based on verbal instruction and/or hand sketches - Ensuring quality control and verifying accuracy of your production work - Communicating with team members and project leaders - Be part of a diverse and dynamic team with coaching and mentorship opportunities | |
| Experience | About You Our preferred candidate is currently enrolled in an Engineering Technology program and possesses the following skills, strengths, and interests: - Strong computer skills. Familiar with AutoCAD design products - Familiarity with Civil 3D would be considered an asset - High attention to detail - Proactive, able to take initiative and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Willingness to help where needed on a variety of projects, including general civil infrastructure design and production - Committed to ongoing personal and professional development |
