Clinician, Child and Youth Mental Health

We currently have 3 available positions; 1 in each of the communities of Maple Ridge, New Westminster and Port Moody.

We have openings for Clinicians, CYMH for our stable, experienced, dynamic and highly supportive teams who are dedicated to providing high quality, evidence based service.

As a Clinician, CYMH working with other professionals, you provide direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, treatment, suicide risk assessment, safety plans and crisis intervention for children and youth from birth to age 18 and their families. Clinicians work in flexible ways, including in home, school and community settings. Through consultation and collaboration you will build and maintain relationships to support coordinated, youth and family-friendly services, contributing to positive outcomes for children, youth and families.

Qualifications for this role include:
• Masters in Social Work, (Clinical Specialization or equivalent training/education) or Child and Youth Care; OR a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology/Educational Counselling or other comparable Masters of Arts to include having completed a Practicum in Child and Youth Counselling.
• Minimum One (1) year experience working in Child and Youth Mental Health services with responsibility for providing a wide range of Community based Mental Health services.
Preference may be given to applicants who have the following:
• Previous experience providing Mental Health services to Indigenous children, youth and their families and communities.
• Applicants who have Indigenous Heritage (First Nations, Metis, Inuit) and who also meet the minimum Education and Experience statements.
