Ministry of Forests Multiple locations (Hybrid) Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement. Senior Policy Analyst $85,813.18- $97,879.22 annually, which includes a 3.3% Temporary Market Adjustment The Forest Landscape Planning Branch is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the new Forest Landscape Plan (FLP) across the province and for developing policy and guidance for the new FLP framework and program. The Senior Policy Analyst will lead the research, analysis, development and implementation of strategic policies and legislation, offering professional guidance and overseeing the creation of various policy products in support of the new Forest Landscape Planning framework. Experience | Qualifications for this role include: - Master's degree in public administration, business administration, law, economics, social sciences, natural resource management or a field related to the program area and two (2) years of related experience, OR - Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, law, economics, social sciences, natural resource management or a field related to the program area and three (3) years of related experience. - An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Related experience includes the following: - Experience in the development of legislation, regulation and policy. - Experience conducting analysis to inform legislation, regulation and policy directions. - Experience in concisely and persuasively writing a wide variety of communication materials/documents/content such as policy guidance, briefing notes/cabinet submissions and giving oral presentations for internal and external stakeholders. - Experience in planning and coordinating complex projects/assignments. |
