\r\n SCOPE: \r\n\r\n The Desktop Support Technician will provide both onsite and remote computer and VoIP telephone support for ONWA staff across Ontario.  The Desktop Support Technician will work with our network management team to discuss the need for network changes and the feasibility of projects recommended by network users. The Desktop Support Technician is also required to monitor technology trends and makes recommendations on incorporating new technology into the company's existing platforms. \r\n\r\n QUALIFICATIONS: \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nRESPONSIBILITIES-SPECIFIC: \r\n\r\n\r\n- Logging and processing support requests.
\r\n- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, VoIP phones, printers and scanners.
\r\n- Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults.
\r\n- Identify, log and resolve technical problems with software applications or network systems.
\r\n- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
\r\n- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades.
\r\n- Setting up accounts for staff and ensuring they know how to log in.
\r\n- Maintaining records of software licenses.
\r\n- Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.
\r\n- Provides advice and guidance to colleagues regarding incidents.
\r\n- Identify potential changes and system improvements to present to senior team leaders for consideration and implementation.
\r\n- Create, maintain, and distribute reports of progress to senior leadership.
\r\n- Explain and document technical issues in a clear way to staff.
\r\n- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
\r\n- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
\r\n- Setting up accounts for new users.
\r\n- Testing new technology.
\r\n- Travel when required.
\r\n- Training staff.
\r\n- Other duties as assigned.
\r\n \r\n\r\nRESPONSIBILITIES - GENERAL: \r\n\r\n\r\n- \r\n

\r\n \r\n\r\nRESPONSIBILITIES - ADMINISTRATIVE: \r\n\r\n- Complete monthly reports and submit to supervisor when required
\r\n- Complete quarterly reports on or before the requested due date.
\r\n- Complete reports to funders as required.
\r\n- Complete and attend supervisions on a regular basis
\r\n- Other reports or admin as assigned
\r\n \r\n STANDARD OF PERFORMANCE: \r\n\r\n- Adhere to the Policies and Procedures as set by the ONWA
\r\n- Representation on committees as required for the enhancement and benefits of ONWA's programs.Â
